Barl, Germany 3 May 2019
Kay drove today along the Mosel. Quick look at the bridge gate at Traben/Trarbach. Lunch on the banks of the Mosel at Zell then up to our overnight spot at Barl. Had a look around the shops etc before the showers arrived.
03.05.19 - Made a chilli con carne last night, but enough for two nights - bonus only have to cook the rice tonight!
Peaceful night - great to have overhead blind open as there weren’t any street lights. Vaguely heard music around 1pm, where from - don’t know!
Had breakfast in bed, reading iPad whilst looking out over the Mosel - not my normal morning view!
Tintin suggested not running today, no footpath - and very hilly - was super quick to agree!
I drove for about 15 minutes to a place called Traben-Trarbach and stopped off as the city gate was mentioned in an article I read about the area. Just took a few photos, and left. Drove about another 30 minutes to Zell. Here we used the facilities, and paid €1 to top up with water. To stay along the river bank would have been €7, so after lunch we drove off to another park.

Not your usual afternoon - we’re essentially parked in a huge carpark (but for motorhomes) which is in an industrial estate. Went for a wander around a place called Globus - bit like B&Q on steroids! Bought a weather proof mat for outside Dave!
Walked the other direction and walked around Aldi as Tintin hadn’t been in one, then into Lidl just to buy some buns like yesterday. Only had chocolate covered ones, not nearly as nice!
We’re both feeling quite tired today, don’t know why - so just having an afternoon reading...
