Lapradelle-Puilaurens - 14 October 2019

Decision day, which way are we going. Decided on going back through France.

Lapradelle-Puilaurens - 14 October 2019

14 October

Too miserable to eat last night - rum and peanuts it was!

Tintin rang the insurance company this morning. Have to say that Aviva seem such a pleasant company to deal with.

Decided we wouldn’t go into Spain, we were only going further south for warmer weather as we had another four weeks away.

The long and short of it is that we’ve spoken to our house sitters, then changed our Condor ferry ticket, and are now coming home in two weeks time, two weeks early - on 28 October.

I drove today for 90 minutes to a place called Lapradelle-Puilaurens. It has free services. There is a Château up above us, but by the time we’d sorted out organizing our life - decided it was too late to trek up there.

This is his good side, still damaged but hard to see in this photo.

On a positive note, we can now hopefully meet up with our friends on their canal boat in a couple of days.

It’s been quite warm today, but have found it humid too. It’s now 6pm, and pouring with rain, as forecast! At least we’re parked on tarmac for a change! Just hoping that the gorilla tape is up to the job of keeping the inside of Dave dry...

Even though we’re not happy - we feel better about having made some decisions.

Defrosted a big bag of spaghetti bolognese sauce today - so at least we’re eating tonight!

Good roads in the hills today -
