Marina di Ginosa - 16 October 2022

Had a good night’s sleep - quiet except for multiple dogs barking at various times…

One of the few things that compare very favourably over here is the price of their grapes. Grown in Italy, a kilo costs less than €2. Plus, they keep really well - only really use them cut up for breakfast, so they last for more than a week…

Pietro kept 400 cows until two years ago - but it was too much for him. I don’t know a lot about donkeys - but I do feel this poor one could do with his hooves trimmed!

Tintin drove today, only about 30 minutes down to the beach we saw from the air yesterday.

Not a lot to say! Spent the day in the sunshine, read books and went swimming. A really tough day!

And bonus - Dave still here when we got back, all ok. To be fair, it seems a fairly upmarket place, big residential houses - and so many people out and about. Get the feeling they take Sunday as a family day seriously!

Didn’t take enough food with us to the beach, hence hungry - Tintin looking to go out to eat - shame we’ve just demolished half a tub of mini snacks!

The forecast for here is sunny and up to 24° for the next four days - but who knows where we’ll be by then!
