St Marc sur Mer - 12 September 2018

Stayed at the Aire at St Marc sur Mer. Had a walk along the coastal path to Pornichet and back. Beach in the afternoon and that’s about it.

St Marc sur Mer - 12 September 2018

12 September

Title picture was taken in the distance and we couldn’t quite make out if it was people or not swarming all over the rocks.  Had to wait until we viewed the picture on my iPad.  Collecting shellfish at low tide is definitely the daily hobby.

Couldn’t decide what to do today, weather was sunny, but then cloudy, and then sunny. Went for a walk around the coast, ended up at Pornichet and managed to buy a baguette and a pain au raisin. Decided we’re better off sharing something each day, saves on calories, but get the lovely taste!  It is beach after beach as you go round the coast, small and large. Walk there and back took about 1-1/4 hours and 6,500 steps. Were really hot as the sun had come out. Tried out the endless breeze fan, which was lovely!

Another first for us for many years - spent the afternoon on the beach (no, not the nudist one!) which is just across the road. Low tide, no swimming - probably should have as the tide came up, but was getting breezy and a bit chilly by then. Only problem seems to be that it’s super sticky sand, and will no doubt be finding it for a while! Aire really is in excellent position. Sure people stay here for longer than the 48 hours which is advised!

Tintin having his second dose of Vodafone help, tried speaking with them this morning for 25 minutes, and is now using help chat...  Reset my Vodafone account again, at least it works now.  Found out the data does not roll forward so we’ve got 18gb to get through in 3 days.

Interestingly, Tintin has not had any problems with his heart since being away, was he stressed and didn’t recognize it? Anyway - all good 😊
