St Peter Port, Guernsey - 14 September 2022
We first decided to tour Italy in Spring 2020 but the pandemic put paid to that, so we're excited that we're on the ferry to Cherbourg this Friday. Unfortunately, after the pandemic had receded we had a lot of family issues to deal with which kept us in Guernsey. So the Italy tour is finally on.
We normally go to St Malo but there isn’t any room for our motorhome on the Condor Voyager and is also more expensive. So we are on the lunchtime Condor Liberation to Cherbourg. We intend to drive straight to Italy but not on the péage. It will probably take us about 3 days to get into Italy as we don’t fancy driving for long periods.
Back in 2010 we toured some of the north of Italy including Venice and Pisa so we are going to tour some of the south. We don’t normally visit big cities but Rome, Florence and Naples are on the agenda. We will see how we get on!
We now have a new website as you can see if you are reading this, which has the facility for you to subscribe to the blog. The free subscription will enable you to comment on any of the blogs and also you will receive an email when we publish a new blog entry. If you do subscribe we will not bombard you with emails or give your email address to any 3rd party.
Enough for now, back to packing 😀
