Wheal Kitty and Surfing in Porthtowan 11 April 2019

11.04 - More peaceful than an Aire/campsite overnight here! Very lucky J and family have moved to Porthtowan.

This morning we visited a mobile store called Incredible Bulk in Wheal Kitty/St Agnes. Spices per 100g are probably what we pay for a standard Schwartz or Bart’s jar which contain considerably less. The dried apple rings are particularly good! It’s a great idea to reuse your own packaging, and Bel stocked up. Not sure whether such a service would catch on in Guernsey 🇬🇬

J went and bought a wetsuit he’d been waiting for. Once home, we had lunch and walked down to the beach. J went for a surf🏄whilst we sat on the beach and generally watched the world go by. Water temperature is 10°. Lots of happy dogs racing around, and kids building sandcastles. The weather was still sunny, but sometimes chilly too! Home cooked food was a lovely Joe Wicks bowl of goodness! Not sure it cancels out the ice cream and hot cross bun though - but here’s hoping!
