Condor to France and drive to Dol de Bretagne

Dol de Bretagne - 3 September 2018

3 September 2018 - first trip to France as retired people!

Dol de Bretagne - N48°32.902’ W001°35.149’

We were packing and cleaning the house ready for Anne to move into in order to house sit, right up until midday when we said goodbye to the cats, they don’t know yet that we won’t be back for ten weeks!

Beautiful sunny weather and a very calm crossing on the Condor Rapide, which wasn’t very busy.

We were having problems with our Vodafone sim, and couldn’t send any text messages, which was the whole point of changing from our Guernsey number so we could send texts to Hal locate every time we move Dave (for security in case he moves without our knowledge!)

Co pilot was also having problems picking up GPS. However, it’s now 17.30 and already we’re parked up at Dol de Bretagne.

Martin has now persevered, and after many hours and talking to about seven different people in Mumbai, and a few in the UK (after making a complaint) - sending texts now works! Hooray!

There are so many mohos here! Mainly French. Another Mobilvetta K-yacht too, but not an 85.

After a lovely Kraken and coke we walked into town and treated ourselves to a pizza and wine (€35). Even the cash machine gave us some Euros!
